How do I ping my router / find my gateway?

Windows:

1. Click the Windows Key + R at the same time. 
2. In the Run box, type "cmd," OK.
3. At the DOS prompt, type "ipconfig," hit enter.
4. Look for the IPv4 address. Usually 192.168.1.X.
5. Report this number and the IPv4 Gateway number to OnePointSync.

To ping your router:

1. After finding out your Gateway, type "ping <gateway>," replace gateway with the Gateway from step 5 above, hit enter.
2. You will get one of two responses.
3. Either "reply from" or "request timed out."
4. Report these findings to OnePointSync.

To ping the Internet:

1. Type "ping 8.8.8.8”, hit enter.
2. You will get one of two responses.
3. Either "reply from" or "request timed out."
4. Report these findings to OnePointSync.
